
The Octane C4D plugin just went to version 1 final, and therefore issues like smoothing have been dealt with, I rerenderer last night and was much happier with sharp cubes :D

So this is what happens when I have a 3d Mesh of a whale, Octane, Cinema 4D and the amazing Voxygen Plugin to play with. Still have issues getting smoothing to work properly in Octane Render, but don't want to explore too much until the full version 1.0 of the cinema 4D plugin is out, along with the new version of Octane. To be honest what I really want from octane is the modo plugin to become available, as working with modo's shader tree will be 'awesome'
